I'm normally a sucker for writer commentaries, but this one just didn't work for me. There's a difference between listening to one writer talking about his craft and a group of writers talking about their product. With a solo voice you get an impression of inspiration - with a trio (director Robinson and producers Lawrence Lasker and Walter F. Parkes) you get a more businesslike approach - a movie designed by committee. Obviously in a tricky screenplay such as this one, structure is everything, but to hear the matter-of-fact way the three of them break down of all the elements of SNEAKERS into 'writing decisions' doesn't add much to the entertainment value of the film.
