Things get off to an interesting start, with Kevin Kline asking Altman all sorts of questions about his working methods. However, after about half an hour the conversation dies down and the two men banter occasionally for the rest of the film.
In case you're curious about what filmmakers think of each other's work, Altman really liked Tommy Lee Jones's "The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada," even if he can't pronounce the title.
