This is a very lively trio, aided by Ormsby and Fred Olen Ray. These two gents have contributed to commentaries in the past, some on features they were directly involved (Ormsby on "Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things"), or as a moderator. Director Wiederhorn is engaging, and demonstrates the same ambivalence toward the "Horror" genre as he did in the "Return of the Living Dead Part 2" commentary. There are some very captivating stories about the history of "Shock Waves," the shooting locations (a defunct Biltmore resort), and the joys (as well as pains) of working with screen icons like John Carradine & Peter Cushing. Ormsby details how he managed to pull off such convincing makeup effects in the salt water of Biscayne Bay, FL, and Fred has many anecdotes about his duties as still-photographer on the set. Very minimal gaps in silence, but a thorough listen is a reward in patience. 8/10
