Let's start of with saying that this commentary will probably appeal more to those with a vested knowledge/interest in Superman, I, while holding the first two original Superman films as the very cream of the crop in superhero movies, and, having read my share of comics through the years, has never really felt compelled to delve into the "myth" of Superman. It is clear though, that the makers of this feature knows their Superman (maybe that's a given), and while their enthusiasm in the commentary kind of rubs of a bit, it feels more like you're eavesdropping on the Superman internal fan-club.

There are some good stuff though, like when they talk about how they were allowed to go to a darker place, than they were with the television series, and discussing the necessary changes between the comic and the film.

All in all though if your not a big fan of Superman, or this film (which I wasn't), I dont think you'll get much out of it. It did get me interested in reading the death of Superman comic, though.
