I didn't finish this commentary, in fact I probably gave up after 15 minutes. The sound-mix is horrible, the audio from the film is louder than the commentary so it's basically unlistenable, especially withKevin Kline Wailing away.

Too bad, because of what I could hear it seemed like a pretty good commentary track.

I agree with a previous reviewer regarding the terrible sound mix levels of the commentary for this film. It makes me crazy because I purchased this DVD partly for the commentary as I was dying to hear the backstories of the actors and production to create this masterpiece. The fault partly lies with the audio engineer but the commentator/director Alan Paluka is also to blame for not speaking in a normal register, mostly whispering/mumbling and talking too rapidly which adds to the inability to hear clearly. If you are still determined to hear the commentary (as was I) you may find it helpful to cover up one side of the stereo speakers playing the main audio for the film (in my case it was the left side). I taped a couple of sponges with packing tape over the speaker which made it much easier to listen. It didn't solve the problem completely but it did help make it a little easier to hear a good portion of the commentary.
