Guillermo del Toro is a funny guy, he does a good job of explaining stuff and how hard some things were to do. My favorite part is when he talks about how much he likes horses.

amazing commentary, guillermo del Toro does every budding filmmaker a great service with the care and passion that he places into his commentary and extras track..he goes into great depth to his tonal choices regarding color, set design, etc.... and discusses his story structure and scene conceptualization, even providing a glimpse to the scenes that he borrowed from other movies. for example, he gives praise to Pink Floyd's the "Wall" for many of the scenes involving the captain's preparations... the movie is in spanish.. although the commentary is in English... if you want to see more of what he has to say don't miss the charlie rose interview with del toro, inarritu, and Cuaron...

Del Toro is a intellectual poet. He's also a geek. Maybe this is how he gets away with lewd jokes. This is a tremendous commentary.
