Listening to this commentary was a frustrating experience. Even though the director seems to have some interesting things to say, pointing out references to the works by Rosselini & other italian directors, and explaining scenes that works as metaphors, which are things that I didn't think about while watching the film, his accent is so heavy that it becomes a chore to listen to. I just couldn't keep my attention focused on what he was talking about, especially when he struggles to find the right words he can go a while before he gets it right.

The version I saw was without subtitles as well, which didn't help. In fact I think I would've appreciated it quite a lot if it was subtitled.

So, in conclusion, if you can find a subtitled version of this commentary I think it could be a good listen, if not, you'll probably have a tough while sitting through it.
