While Mike gives decent and intresting tidbits about the film's production, Kaplan only provides the occasional factoid and way too many chuckles.

Enjoyable commentary. It doesn't suffer from "director hasn't seen the movie in a while so he's going to watch it" syndrome.

They talk about how every passenger on the plane is modeled after every animator, the "Goddam" joke is from Mike's grandmother, how a scene where Beavis uses the Deceleration of Independence as toilet paper was deleted, the Corn Holio character was based on a character Mike created to torture his sister, Mike having a dream about Beavis and Butt-head walking in the desert and slagging of the movie, a funny story about trying to record Bruce Willis' lines at his home and how much they HATE it when celebrities are cast in animated movies and how they think that's distracting.

Mike even talks about Matt Stone and Trey Parker whom he's friends with.

Overall, a HUGELY enjoyable commentary. My only gripe is that Yvette laughs too much.

Mike Judge is fantastic to listen to, and his stories are equally engrossing. I wish he did more commentaries; to here the inspirations for certain characters and gags (both from the TV show and the movie) is very enjoyable. To learn here that there is a hidden Marriage proposal in the animation for "Predator 2" is worth the "80-minute" listen alone.
