While this commentary isnt as good as the Superman:Movie one (most of the development and back story comments have been made on the Superman Movie audio track) This one does cover Ilya Salkinds perspective on the Richard Donner problems of the films productions. Ilya does go into the re-shooting and re-writing of the ending and the beginning of the film as well as the changes Richard Lester(director) brought to the project. Its recommended and i think that Superman 1,2 & 3 commentery tracks make up one excellant history of the Superman films.

Again, surprised how good this commentary is. Most of the production history is out of the way on the first films track so this is much more screen specific. Maybe most of my gained knowledge is already known by the hardcore fans but I was pleasantly surprised by all the little bits of information, exactly what Donner shot vs Lester and didn't know Reeve based Clark on Cary Grant! 8/10
