Boring--boring--boring! Michael Apted is one of the drollest, driest, stodgiest speakers this side of Mctiernan. His comments range insipid to mildy "meh". A great commentary for insomniacs. But, I guess I should be grateful the horrific Michael Wilson was not on this one. That raises it one more point in my book.

I think that depending on the person, this may have a different effect. Where the first reviewer found him boring, I preferred having him composed, and giving more filmmaking insight than personal anecdotes and endless backslapping.
Commentary 2: Production designer Peter Lamont, second unit director Vic Armstrong, and composer David Arnold Rating:7.8/10 (12 votes) [graph]Login to vote or review

I do not know who decided that Vic Armstrong needed to be involved with this series, but whoever it was--shoot him! Armstrong has brought some of the weakest and most cliched stunts to the Bond series. (Oh where is Simon Crane when we need him?) Then he gets commentary time to pat himself on the back for being so "creative." Bah!

David Arnold and his "score": see the Armstrong comments.

The production guys get off easy simply because I went into a coma when they appeared.

What the producers should have done is replace both of those horrid commentaries with one featuring Pierce Brosnan and Sophie Marceau.
