Even though you may think these people are maniacs , listening to them speak will soon clear that up . The deeper issues behind the film are explored . I personally love to see people get so worked about a movie - I mean , these guys have made millions of people laugh . They should get medals . They talk about scripting and how they work , when to cut out lines or scenes . Seeing that both Terry's are directors , you will get more of that sort of information . Eric thinks deeper about the group dynamic - he wrote by himself , where the others wrote in teams , so he talks about competition as a result . Terry G did visuals as well as writing .
Hear how it all came about .

All 3 are recorded separately. They talk about the look of the film, filming in Tunisia, how Spike Milligan was no where to be found for his scene, the opening shot of the extras walking towards the Mount were actually going home so the shot that footage and left it in anyway, Gilliam talks about how the UFO scene was done, Eric says that Graham Chapman appeared naked in front of 2000 people and Muslim women shrieked and Jones didn't think he looked "Jewish" and a rubber band had to be used.

The Pythons are recorded seperatly. Jones talks most of the time about the directing, Gilliam about the sets and Idle about the writing. The method of working inside The Pythons is also a topic. There are good stories about the shooting in Tunesia and the financing of the movie.

Timing in comedy and the public reaction about the movie are also discussed. The track is also very funny.

This track is great. 10 out of 10.
Commentary 2: Actors John Cleese and Michael Palin Rating:7.7/10 (23 votes) [graph]Login to vote or review

John is the intellectual and thinks a hell of a lot about all this , which is to say , he gets upset that people took the film the wrong way and discusses religion , which may upset some people . Michael Palin seems to be the most easygoing Python and his contribution reflects that . The track is balanced because of both men's differences . Not many people can put their thoughts across as well as the Pythons .
