Brilliant commentary from one of the best of all time. Essentially, it's as though there's a film school in a box, and they called it "Ran." One of Kurosawa's best is given a royal treatment by P.

Stephen Prince is a joy to listen to and he really knows his stuff about Japanese cinema, Kurosawa and Japanese culture. It really does feel like sitting in a film history class.

I like to think of Prince's commentaries as little film schools. This one happens to be my favorite of his.

Ehhh, not too good. He Grilli seems like the kind of person who makes little side comments here and there in a group commentary, except he's the only one talking here.
