This track left me incredibly disappointed. Given Savini's great contributions to other commentary tracks, like "Dawn of the Dead," I really expected a better listen. We know of his masterful work in makeup and special effects, but Tom rarely gets the opportunity to direct. So, I expected more stories related to getting this opportunity. There are plenty of anecdotes about the production, with the requisite mentions of each actors' CV as they appear on the screen. The comparison to the classic 1968 "Dead," as well as the departures prove to be the most insightful tidbits to be heard. Watch the production "featurette" instead. At 25 minutes, all the same ground is covered. To hear Mr. Savini say that the audiences "groaned" at some of the dummy efx scenes is totally believable, but they're not "groans" of horror, they're of embarrassment and unintentional comedy. Weak effort. 4/10
