I love Robert Englund and am a huge fan of the "Elm Street" series. I took a flier on this disc because the rear label promises a "commentary track" by "Freddy" himself. I'd seen this compilation before, so I just assumed Robert would comment on the "Nightmare on Elm Street" scene early on, in this feature. But, much to my delight, Mr. Englund sticks around for the whole 50 minutes. Roughly half is him playfully mocking the on-screen action in sort of a "Freddy-esque" character. It's amusing and all, but the good stuff is when Robert recounts his own encounters with the talent on the screen. Whether they are fellow "boogeymen" like Hellraiser's Doug Bradley or "Leatherface" himself, or directors like William Friedkin and Tobe Hooper, Robert has an anecdote to share. The track was recorded in early 2001, so it's rather dated. Plenty of allusions to the forthcoming "Freddy vs. Jason" are made, for instance. I'd recommend a listen for "Horror" movie buffs, although you've probably heard these familiar stories before. 7/10
