This is another of Kim Newmans commenteries....its a refreshing change to hear someones views on a film that they didnt even work on. Stephen and Kin chat about the film as if they are old friends (and they might well be for all i know) They point out the gaffs, discuss the pre-production of the film. And basically entertain the viewer for the films duration without taking it too seriously. I learned a lot about Halloween 2 from this chat track as i did from the other commenteries that Stephen and Kim have recordered (Halloween 3 for example)

Kim Newman makes the misstep of introducing himself as a 'know-it-all', but he means that in a flippant manner as can be heard in the lighthearted commentary that follows. He and fellow horror critic/fan Jones reveal various background snippets about the film and point out now and then how HALLOWEEN II is positioned in the horror wave of the early 80s. It would seem that there isn't too much to say about a stalk-and-slash film of this type, so amidst the factual stuff they often joke about the characters lives within the film ("You'd think they wouldn't celebrate Halloween anymore in this town").
