This track is much, much better than the only rating it's been given. This trio of the director, Mr. Blanks, the writer and actor Michael Rosenbaum fill out the entire track with plenty of fun and information. Fans of the slasher/horror genre will love to hear which scenes were inspired by classic films, as well as stories about Robert Englund and Brad Dourif."Smallville" alum Rosenbaum riffs on his costars quite a bit, which is entertaining. Everytime Josh Jackson shows up, he starts singing Paula Cole's song. Sure, loads of time is spent touting every actor as the next Olivier or Streep, and the constant explanation of process shots is a bit irksome. Overall, there is a real enthusiasm from this Aussie director, and horror buffs could do worse. 7/10

Very upbeat commentary. Fun fact, this commentary was actually recorded 3 weeks after the release of the film, so it is essentially 14 years old now. Captures a lot of the youthful chatter of these guys who were in their 20's at the time. Jamie Blanks's and everyone else's excitement makes the experience more entertaining, and they constantly bust on each other. The good news is that you do get insight into technical aspect of the film, throughout the track. These kinds of commentaries can get out of hand fast, but I thought the three of them did a good job of being fun and informative - though most of the information comes from Jamie Blanks. If you liked the film and want to enrich the experience, definitely give it a go.
