For such a good movie its a shame that Rob Reiner doesnt say much on possibly his best film. When he does talk its as much as you would get off the dvd case. One may say that there isn't much to talk about in this film because there is a lot of dialouge, but information on casting, locations and various behind the scenes action would have been interesting.
After seeing Rob in 'The Thong' episode of Curb Your Enthusiasim I thought he would be an intersting guy to listen to. Usually when a new location is seen he may only say "This was shot in Los Angeles".
When commentary is said on actors he offers a lot of praise, but nothing interesting.
It gets better as it goes along, but still average. Overall C-.

This is a favorite film of mine.
An ensemble cast that delivers a truly great production with dialogue to die for.
Mr. Reiner and his commentary are an insult. Quite frankly, it sounds as if it were pre-recorded by him to accomodate certain scenes and then sliced in at appropriate moments.
With this type of cast he should have been bubbling over with production notes and background material.
A huge disappointment.

Overall a boring track. Normal for a director only. I did find it amusing when Reiner mentions he filmed Guantanomo Bay footage in California only because of how similar California is to a Communist nation.
