It takes about 45 minutes to go through this selected-scenes-commentary, with Ellen Burstyn providing most of the comments. If you are looking for insights by director Martin Scorsese you might be dissapointed, as his comments are cut together from an interview and as it gets quite clear that the leading head behind the production was Ellen Burstyn who remembers quite fondly her role for which she later earned an Oscar. Interestingly, Diane Ladd is not even mentioned as a particpant on the cover even though she adds some of the most interesting stuff to the commentary, especially when she talks about personal losses that made her identify easily with the main characters. In spite of its short running time still recommended!

Yeah there isn't much Scorsese here, that's for sure. Also I didn't hear anything from Kris Kristofferson either. Burstyn's comments were decent but I guess I just wanted to hear Scorsese speak about this film more than anyone else. So the disappointment is with the lack of his comments or that they might not have been that revealing.
