For the record I hated this movie. Also for the record I am not a big fan of Tim Burton. This commentary is about three levels above a bag of shit. Make that two levels.

I'm pretty surprised the other user didn't care for this review. For fairness I'll state that I like this movie a lot, and that I (usually) like Tim Burton, but anyone interested in film-making in any way should be able to get a ton of great ideas out of him here. Following his thought patterns (which get very abstract sometimes) can be difficult, but it's his muddled nature that helps him make unique movies, and talking about this project in particular will give you insight from a lot of different angles.

Expect the words 'kinda' and 'somehow' a lot, since he can't always find the words he's looking for right away.

I agree with the last reviewer 100%. In fact I have nothing else to add. I would just repeat it verbatim. They said it all perfectly.
