Starkey and Carter were recorded together and do interact, and are scene specific, while Zemeckis seems to be responding to questions from an interviewer. Silent gaps become more prevalent as the film progresses. Zemeckis touches on special effects and the incorporation of Hanks into the historical footage, even offering analogies in defense of this method. He speaks about the script, storyboards, his feelings during and after production, and the reaction to the film. Starkey and Carter are more anecdotal, offering some observations into the scenes as they unfold. All marvel that the film reached a far wider audience and achieved greater popularity than they ever expected, resonating beyond the generation of people who lived through the depicted events.
Commentary 2: Producer Wendy Finerman Rating:7.0/10 (11 votes) [graph]Login to vote or review

Fantastic commentary from Zemeckis, Starkey, and Carter that gives great insight into the film.

Finerman starts off well enough, speaking about how the major players and performers came together to make the film, has some anecdotes about various locations, and points out some elements that were personal for her. She identifies some of the decisions made in the course of filming, but also falls into describing the on-screen action and mentioning plot points. The last hour of this track is very sparse and spotty.
